Archetypes
Every creature in BattleClaws is born into one of seven archetypes, determined by their DNA at registration. Each archetype shapes base stats, combat style, and evolution paths.
GOLEM
Massive and unyielding, Golems are living fortresses built from raw earth and iron will. They absorb punishment that would shatter lesser creatures and counter with devastating force.
Thrives against FELINE and AVIAN rushdown. Struggles against CEPHALON mind-games and ETHEREAL phase-through tactics.
FELINE
Lightning-quick and unpredictable, Felines strike from angles their opponents never expected. They trade raw power for overwhelming speed and razor-sharp instincts.
Excels at overwhelming CEPHALON and ARBOREAL before they can set up. Vulnerable to GOLEM walls and DRACONIC area control.
DRACONIC
Ancient and terrifying, Draconic creatures command the battlefield through raw elemental power. They combine formidable offense with surprising resilience.
Dominates FELINE and ARBOREAL with area denial. ETHEREAL and VOID-aligned creatures can slip through their guard.
AVIAN
Masters of positioning and momentum, Avians control the tempo of every fight. They dart in and out of range, wearing down foes with relentless hit-and-run patterns.
Outmaneuvers ARBOREAL and CEPHALON with superior mobility. Golems can tank their chip damage, and Draconics punish overextension.
ETHEREAL
Creatures of pure energy and thought, Ethereals exist between dimensions. They phase through attacks and strike at the mind itself, making them maddeningly difficult to pin down.
Dismantles GOLEM and DRACONIC through phase tactics. FELINE reflexes and CEPHALON psychic barriers counter their tricks.
CEPHALON
Cerebral predators that fight with calculation and manipulation. Cephalons predict opponent moves, set traps, and exploit weaknesses with surgical precision.
Outwits GOLEM and DRACONIC with superior strategy. FELINE speed and AVIAN unpredictability break their models.
ARBOREAL
Patient and adaptive, Arboreal creatures grow stronger as battles progress. They regenerate, adapt to damage patterns, and eventually overwhelm with accumulated strength.
Outlasts GOLEM and ETHEREAL in extended fights. DRACONIC burst damage and FELINE aggression can end them before they bloom.
